saturn help please :)

Recommended Posts

Hi guys i got these shots from the other night and just wondered if i could get an opinion. I am pretty sure the seeing was bad but just wondered if anyone could let me know if this is a normal kind of result through bad seeing? Or if perhaps focus could be more to blame. I know it lacks colour but i tried to get the best quality i could on the night.

I used a celestron 9.25

dfk21au618

settings used were

1/15 exp

80-90% gain

histogram 50-60%

thanks in advance for any help and criticisms ( it all helps)

Its better than mine taken last year through a C11 with a dslr if thats any help (also bad seeing)

I did download the image and had a play with pixinsight, but even with deconvolution, noise reduction, histogram, curves and wavelets I didn't get any more detail out of it - just brighter and more saturated
