I'd be happy seeing the planet never mind the moons. There always seems to be low cloud or loads of airplane contrails lowish in my south lately.

Been there, got the t-shirt.

Managed a couple of the moons but it ain't easy.

More profitable targets up there giving greater reward and less cursing.

Here's what I did recently. After further research, the ones near the planet are probably not moons so ignore what the caption says.

The two further away almost certainly are.

Titania at the top, Oberon at the bottom.

No chance to try again, unfortunately.

I did this at prime focus with my 250mm Europa, using the ATIK camera and took a series of 30 second exposures.

Geoff, yours is the only picture of these objects on SGL, AFAIK. That must count for something!

Thanks Geoff, i've only caught a dim glimpse in my 66mm F/6 Apo of Uranus.

Hoping to get a better view thru my C9.25 one of these days.
