I'm sure this is well known, but how about a drum stool/throne? They can be bought used for ten or fifteen bucks, are comfortable and fully adjustable. I was a drummer in my younger days. I use the drum stool, it swivels, the works.

Yes, they do. However, I have never used one with a back. Used ones are fairly plentiful.

I use one without a back, surely if you are lent over looking through an eyepiece then you aren't in need of a back rest?

I was thinking of giving my back a rest 'after' spending time leaning over looking through the eyepiece
