Seasonal Synscan alignment problems

Hi all. I'm wondering if anyone has experienced a similar problem to mine. My garden has limited horizons due to houses and I find when I do a 3 star alignment many of the first star choices given by my Synscan are out of view. Most of the time I don't have much trouble when I set up just after dark but occasionally I get a month or so when I have terrible trouble getting a successful alignment and when I do, the accuracy seems poor. When this happens I often find my problems disappear as new stars rise into view for my alignment. Are there stars that are better positioned for alignment?

If your first suggested star is not in view you can scan through the list until you come to one that is visible to you .

There are usually over a dozen to choose from . in all parts of the sky .

Yes I know that! Lol. But thats kind my point. Do these second or third choices give poorer alignment?

Never makes any difference as far as I've seen , alignment fine wherever I start to be honest.
