Skywatcher 10"collapsable or Celestron 130 slt?

Recommended Posts

You need to have a think about what you want to use the scope for, the bigger Dob is going to be much better at deep sky viewing and planets but it's very much bigger and probably manual operation? you don't say if it's goto or not. The 130slt will be very good for planets, not so good but still ok for some deep sky work and more portable. It's a goto so easier finding and following your target but of course it needs power.

Have decided on the dob. Yes it's manual, but i've been reading reviews today and think it will be better for me.

It's not goto, but that's ok. without goto i will, so the pundits say, learn the sky better.
