Kaptain Klevtsov
Hi Rob. Was this image 29th October? Looks like only one bright object in the core now and it appears to have developed eccentricity of the halo parts. Interesting little thing, isn't it?Kaptain klevtsov
Robfal
Taken today at approx 8.30pm. Can't comment on whether it's changed as tonight was the first clear one for well over a week. And that didn't last long. It's raining already here.Rob
Andrew*
This is very similar to what I'm seeing visually. A stunning sight. I might venture to call it one of the most impressive visual sights from a telescope I've seen. Unfortunately the colour tinge is very slight.Great image though. Astroman
This is very different than what I saw last night, and the nights before. It's fading quite a bit, though still large. The offset core and fan shape I'll take to be the "normal" tail, as it's at opposition and pointing away from us. Very interesting object, indeed!
