Hello Kristoffer

Bookmark this site if you haven't done so already...

Might be that something comes up that takes your fancy and it's not too far away from you?

Welcome aboard

At least prices seem better in Sweden somewhat than the "robbery" that goes on here in Norway. I prefer bringing in my equipment from the UK (new and second hand)!

#26 TonyD: I have already bookmarked this site ;-) It sure is the best astronomy-forum I have found.

Regarding the prices between Norway and Sweden, I do not know the difference, but I do know that it is cheaper in the UK and I am planning to order from there. What is your experience from ordering from UK?

I don't really read that much Swedish/Norwegian/Danish (I can get by in Norwegian though) - would you say the forum is better than SGL?

If you check out my posts you will read about the exploits/adventures I have had getting equipment back to Norway from the UK:

Hopefully I have bits of a TAL-2M arriving in two huge crates tomorrow with all the important bits removed and retrieved by me earlier.

I ordered a new TAL-100RS from Charles Daniell at MC2 Telescope Shop and the service was fantastic.

My enquiries and chats with other vendors, in particular Glen Moulton at Lyra Optic, and Steve at FLO have also been very reassuring and you are bound to get excellent customer service, support, and after-care where needed from any of them.

Cheers

If the forum is better then SGL? SGL is stargazers lounge, right? or am I missunderstanding your question? :-P

Sorry Kristoffer - a bit of crossed wires - the link I sent goes to the astroforum.no, and I was under the impression that the "It sure is the best astronomy-forum I have found" comment related to that forum (i.e. it's better than Stargazer's Lounge (SGL))

- which I found surprising because I can't imagine any place better than SGL!

No worries!

FLO (First Light Optics) do not ship outside of the UK they told me today :-/ That was bad, because they had great prices!

Ah! No, SGL is the best.. I did never see the link you send :-)

Also, try APM Telescopes in Germany

They will ship to you in Sweden!

I understand they have a few TAL 150P scopes a bit cheaper because of some cosmetic flaws (paint chips) so do check that out!

Tony
