Really bad things going on

Recommended Posts

OK so after fitting and using a CLS clip filter in my 1000d my images have really gone down hill, not that they were ever really up hill.

Anyway, heres a couple of screen shots, (handfull of 120 sec 50mm subs with darks) the first one straight from DSS The red is pushed way over to the left and the GB is all way over there somewhere

After just trying to even them up with levels they are more equal but the images are always horrible green in the middle and red round the edges.

Now is this gradient? vignetting? rubbish equipment, poor technique, bad sky, off focussing.... All of the above im sure

But can someone suggest some help? Im not expecting Hubble results but this is just silly.

Single sub in TIF if anyone can fix it theres a beer waiting.

Make sure you have RGB Background Calibration switched on in DSS. This should line up the three histograms.

If you don't have flats then adjusting the levels manually may well cause radial colour gradients (depending on how you do it).
