Restacked first attempt at M31

Hi All,

I've restacked and reprocessed my first attempt at M31 that I posted a few days ago.

The original is here....

Think I managed to bring out a bit more detail this time, and the image is definitely less noisy and smoother.

Any advice in regard to the OOF stars on the left would be appreciated. Could it be dodgy collimation?

collimation looks ok, the odd stars is called come you need a coma corrector to get rid of them.good start

But it's only on the left hand side of the frame - even before cropping. It's sharp right to the edge on the right... Doesn't coma happen right around the edge?

if your secondary is off then this can happen. i have just had somthing similar in my F4 quattro were one side had very little coma and the other had bullets.

That's what i was thinking it may be. Didn't have time to check collimation that night. will pop the laser in next time and check first!
