What, if any modding would I need to do?

I'm looking at buying a second hand DSLR from an online shop a photographer friend recommended, its a Canon EOS 400D, http://www.mpbphotographic.co.uk/used-equipment/used-digital-slr-cameras/used-canon-digital-slr-cameras/canon-eos-400d/ and I was wondering if I'd need to mod it in anyway for AP. Any help would be much appreciated.

Not necesarily. I use an unmodded nikon d5000, and find it copes really well. Sure, it does not pick up Ha emissions as much as a modded camera,but still takes very nice pics to my eyes.

Use it as is, and if you find yourself wanting more red, you can think about modding it later on down the line.

It will be fine although the lack of liveview made me upgrade from a 350D to a 1000D. I got both of mine on ebay for around £120.
