AR152 set up for doubles

Recommended Posts

Well, since it is snowing, again, I might as well spend time here as opposed to watching the idiot box.

Here is a photo of my set up for an evening with doubles and globulars.

AR152, 10mm and 5 mm eyepieces, ST80 with 25mm EP and erecting prism as finder, green laser in a diy holder to answer my daughter's 'what are you looking at Dad?', and a telrad to get close. The SkyFi is used with SkySafari on an iPad.

Nice setup Patrice

I used to have the Meade AR6 which is the F/8 version of your scope. I used it with a Chromacor corrector and it worked rather well on binary stars, the moon and planets. It was a heavy old tube to mount though !
