EQ5 PRO GOTO NOISE

Hi guys,

Well weve been setting up our 150p-ds &eq5 pro goto

Just a quick question, been have a little go with the eq5 pro goto and noticed it does make a noise when in motion, is this normal??

Its like a whining noise, as weve never had one before were not sure if this is normal and dont want to damage anything if this is not normal, or have i done something wrong??

Ive balanced the scope correctly ( I THINK ).

Yeah its supposed to be humming when tracking. And when slewing it sounds pretty crazy sometimes.

Yep quite normal. I also get the occasional clicking sort of noise too that doesn't seem to cause any problems. Relax and enjoy

PHEW lol, god i thought something was amiss, well can relax now and like you say ENJOY, hoping its going to clear later so we can have a go with it, its forecast partly cloudy here so fingers crossed.

didnt get chance to align to finderscope with the main ota, i will do that tomorrow.
