How to get the sharpest focus for planetary work?

Hi, what's the best way of getting the sharpest possible focus for the planetary work?

Got a Bahtinov mask, but don't feel it gives me that edge as the play in the image due to atmospheric effects is rather strong when using higher planetary magnifications, e.g. see this youtube video.

If you focus on a nearby bright star with the mask then, without touching the focus, move the scope to the moon/planet it should be in focus. Once you are more experienced you will find that you can focus (or at least that final "tweak") by eye.
