Revelation Astro telescopes

Does anyone know of them or used one of their Ritchey Chretien Cassigrains, i'm trying to find reviews but can't find anything.

Hi,

If I remember correctly Revelation used to make refractors. These were sold by Rother Valley Optics, may be worth giving them a bell.

Thanks for the link, it was a good read.

i've been trying to find Revelation Astro now for a few days but still no info until i came across Altair Astro who advertise the same scope under their own brand name.

now either Altair & Revelation are one and the same or or Revelation met their end in some way or another or there is a third party who makes them which both are putting their name too.

These ´affordable´ Ritchey Chretiens are all made by GSO (a Taiwan company whose quality control is reckoned to be better than the communist Chinese) and sold with various badges attached.

I have been impressed with GSO gear I have bought - some nice Plossls, a Barlow and prism diagonal - all good quality - and my 200mm GSO Newtonian is more solidly made (being steel) and better equipped (two speed Crayford focusser, mirror fan) than the ubiquitous Skywatcher 200p.
