Focuser upgrade

Hi, there,

I am thinking of upgrading my focuser on my celestron 9.25 scope with a moonlite focuser.

What i would like to know is what do i do with the focus knob which is already on there? Do i need to take that off as having two focusers on there may get a little confusing as i plan to have the moonlight motorised. Would this mess the settings on the motorised focuser up if the original focuser was adjusted?

Any advice greatly received.
