Hi guys. I have stumbled across a company/web site called "astromart". From what I can gather its like eBay only it's totally astro related.

Has anyone ever used this site and if so is it any good?

Just wanted to check before I go uploading all my bank details

I used to be a member there. They now charge for membership. Most of the sellers are USA based and many will not ship overseas.

For UK astronomers this site is a much better bet, in my view (and totally free !)

Hi John. Just been back on it again and saw EVERYTHING is in US. I go on uk astro buy n sell from time to time but just stumbled across this on n got to wandering (as I do)

think I will give it a miss.

I like John used to be a member there as well untill the hit us all with a charge to be a member ,, this hurt as I am ( was ) a supporting member ( sent them donations for free on a regular basis ) and then they just cut my rights off , just like that ! GRRRR! .

We can still access it for a read but cant parcipitate in anything like supplying an artical or buy and sell , they have lost a lot of following here in Australia because of this blatent money grab , it really sux !

Google " Cloudy Nites " its better and free to join .

Yeah, they are a pain for doing what they did. I always use UK AB&S and FleaBay these days
