Celestron Faststar

Perhaps an odd question.

I have just got a Celestron S8 with the ability to accept a hyperstar/faststar adapter. This is an aluminium tube model unlike the present production where faststar is only available on the Carbon Fibre series tubes. Has anyone any idea whe Celstron stopped making this version of C8?

I'm not sure about the age of your S8, but all current Celestron SCT (except C5) from C6 to C14 are fastar compatitable. CF tube was discontinued a few years ago.
