A stupid question???

I've just a bought a digital camera (helping Comet raise some cash!) and will hopefully be trying it out tonight with my scope. My question is how do I focus? Do I use the camera focus (will it just spin round in the holder?) along with the scope focus or just the scope focus with the camera attached???

The make and model of your camera will help, if it is suitable, there will be a couple of other bits required to attach it to your focusor, if its not, don't throw away the packaging...

I just have a Fujifilm Finepix S2980. I have the camera adaptor/holder that came with my scope. This was bought for the wife but I'm hoping to try it out with my scope as well

Looks like you'll be doing afocal AP. basically you need a way to attach the camera to the opening on an eyepiece.

I've tried adding the camera to the scope by just using the stock digital camera adaptor ring but I can't focus past the end of the scope? I'm not adding any Barlow or E/P's - should I be and how do I do this?

Can you post a photo of what you mean?

Are you using an EP?

With a compact or bridge type camera I.e. those with non removable lenses, you need an EP which you use to effectively project a focused image through the lens onto the camera chip.
