Hi all, Have just dug out from the depths of my shed a philips webcam but the label is faded but can make out just some vague lettering 740 ! have attempted to connect to laptop(windows 7) but nowt springs into life !! Any ideas on what model it is and if recognised are ther any drivers ?...Ta all

According to this website http://homepage.ntlw...web-cameras.htm it should be a ToucamPro 740K . The sensor is a CCD , the same used in all philips Toucam pro webcams. Getting it to work under win7 might be a bit tricky, the dcrivers are old and the camera is not supported by Vista/ win7 natively. If you can steal / borrow a computer running Xp you should be able to reflash the webcam's firmware with the SPC900NC firmware making the computer believe the webam is a SPC900NC. Win 7 will then recognise the camera and load the appropriate drivers for it. This website http://www.home.zonn.../spc900nc.htm#6 gives you the instructions.
