Revelation ED 2" barlow

Can anyone please confirm the Barlow bit unscrews on this?

I want to also use it to use 2" filters with 1.25" EPs with and without Barlowing, so this sounds ideal; if the lens is removable...

Yes it does , I use one with a different tube to give me about 1.8 x for my solar shots.

Saves me buying a threaded 2" - 1.25" adaptor. I assume you can't use the 1.25" adaptor on it's own as the screw gets in the way?

Thats correct - unless your focuser has the slot for the adapter screw cut into it.

If you are using the barlow without the barlow element in place you may not be able to get an eyepiece to focus as the empty barlow acts like an extension tube moving the eyepiece about 2" outward from it's normal focusing position. It may be OK but you just need to be aware that you will need around 2" of inward focuser travel to get the eyepiece back to the focal plane.

As a normal 2x barlow and using the barlow element screwed onto the end of an eyepiece (giving 1.5x) its a good piece of kit though.

Inward focus is not an issue I don't think, as my 200p focuser is a true 2" one as in a 2" ep fits into it direct, but won't focus the other way without an extension. I think I explained that right lol
