Meade LXD55 = to ??

What is a Made LXD55 Mount equal to i.e EQ5 or EQ3-2 ??

It's similar to an EQ5. A lot of the LXD55's were supplied on aluminum tripod legs though which are really not very stable and should be replaced with steel tube legs (like the EQ5 has now as standard) if a scope of any length / weight is going on the mount.

It's worth reading up on the GOTO system on the LXD55 - I've seen mixed reports on it.
