UK Astronomy Podcasts

[Distorted Vision]

Hi,

I listen to a few podcasts: Jodcast, 365 days of Astronomy, Sky & Telescope.

However, I am surprised that I wasn't able to find many podcasts that are from the UK and deal with practical aspects of Astronomy and not theoretical subjects. I'm looking for podcasts similar to the excellent 2020 podcast. Unfortunately its relatively new and so does not have a back catalogue of previous podcasts available.

Agree with Jim-a, awesomeastronomy is good. Both Ralph and Tom who host it are very knowledgeable and often have interesting guests on for interviews.

i dont think there are any people doing it in the uk because its not worth it 365 astronomy covers nearly everything

Thanks - will have a listen to Awesome Astronomy. I find that 365 Astronomy is too focused on theoretical subjects rather than practical hands on astronomy. Also nearly all of the podcasts are from the States. I disagree that its not worth people in UK doing a podcast. Although I can imagine it requires quite alot of commitment.

Astronomy Cast is another good one. Also if your looking for a UK based podcast then a couple of chaps from this forum do a podcast called 2020 Astro.

Thanks - I already listen to 2020 Astro. Its actually one of my favourite Astronomy podcasts.
