Are filters colour worthwhile for dslrs?

I was considering getting a couple of lumicon colour filters for use with dslr based planetary video

My camera has 1:1 binning at 1920x1280 down to 640x480, a high bit rate capture at 144mbit/s and a 64GB storage card

Are there any reasons why this may not work? ie I'm thinking of getting a #80 and possibly a #56 (Jupiter and moon)
