Takahashi. Em200 pier adaptor

Can a eq6 pier adaptor be used on a tak em200 mount, I'm helping a friend setup a permanent pier for his up coming tak, and I read in a forum that eq6 pier adaptors are the same. If not we can strip down the tripod and use that instead it seems a shame to pull apart such a nice tripod but needs must thanks Tim

Not quite sure! The EQ6 is a fairly shameless copy of the EM200 with a lot of cost cuts thrown in. I was able to fudge an EQ6 onto my EM200 tripod top when the mount had to go back under warranty but it was not a dead simple transfer.
