Focal reducer for visual use?

I bought a TS ED 70mm a few months back, i use this scope mainly for astrophoto so i have just ordered a Televue TRF-2008 reducer/flattener.

The TRF-2008 has a T thread in the back instead of a M48 like many newer reducers and flatteners has.

I wonder if this would be good for visual too? TS has an adapter that should allow me to connect a diagonal to the reducer, i'm not sure if this will make the correct distance needed, but that's something i will have to figure out myself.

I also wonder if this will produce heavy vignetting because of the T thread with 2" wide field eyepieces?

Has anyone here tried something like this for visual use?
