describe(show) your Celestron/Skywatcher 127 setup

Recommended Posts

To go with my other post http://stargazerslounge.com/topic/163025-celestron-127-slt-or-skywatcher-127/

I was wondering what setups/camera/webcam/power supply setups other forum readers are using?

I am interested in planetary/moon imagery and any photo/flickr examples would be great to - to wet my appetite.

I know the scope is not ideal for DSO - but has anyone tried any images of this type?

Thanks again !

I have a Celestron 127 SLT and I actually run it on a 12V 5A powersupply connect to 230V, didn't really cost much, found it at a local shop in the discount bin. :)

I'm using a modifed Philips SPC880 web cam for my lunar and planetary imaging.

Here is one example from last year:

And another one from last year aswell, in fact my first succesful image attempt ever.

I've got a 127 Mak mounted on a CG-5 mount for added stability. The photo on the left hand side underneath my name was my first attempt with my 40d attached to the Mak.

I've got a SPC880 flashed to 900 with which I do some planetary imaging. I'll dig out a couple of my shots of Jupiter and Saturn this evening and post them on here.
