Quick MW from Provence

I currently on vacation in southern France in a semi-rural area so the skies are fantastic to my suburban home location. I just took a quick snap of the MilkyWay - this is a (jpg) stack of 9x30s @ iso3200 with a Canon kit lens (18-55mm IS) at 25mm with a cheap x.45 "wide field" add on.

Any ideas on how to take a better pic are very welcome!
