Goto mount

I really fancy the idea of a goto mount for my Astromaster 130eq but was wondering how it would fit to a fork type mount? Is there a different type of bar? Or would people not advise doing this?

Since it already on an EQ mount the simple option would be an EQ3 with goto.

It will not fit a fork mount, a fork being one bit either side.

It could be attached to a single arm mount, I suspect that the dovetail you have could be used.

Problem with the single arm is that the OTA could be too long, they usually use short tubes and I have the suspicision that yours is not the short variant.

Thanks will have a look at the EQ3. I did mean the single arm mounts sorry...

Your suspicions are correct, it is the longer type.

I've had a SW 130p on an ALT/AZ single arm mount and it was fine. I would recommend an EQ3 mount though.
