Good locations

Can anyone recommend any good locations to take the scope with dark skies in the west midlands I'm from Walsall so close to there would be good thanks

Download Google Earth and then Google a light polution addon that covers the west midlands.

I found one for Croatia,and if there is one for a country as little known as CRO,there should be one for Great Britain most definitely.

If you have transport then Cannock Chase is close to Walsall, just be aware of illegal off-roaders and dodgy dog walkers.

Thanks alot that link helped me out a good few places was thinking about trying Dovedale that's really nice went there a few years ago really out the way of any light polution too

The dodgy ones are the ones who don't have a dog
