2" GSO ED 2X Barlow

Got one of these from Agena Astro and have used it with the ES 30mm 82°. Apart from nearly collapsing the focusser with the 30mm I was quite impressed. I must be wrong, but I thought it improved the outer edge of the 30mm. Only slight niggle is it generates a bit of kidney beaning if you get too close. Very nice though. Plan to maybe use it not so much with the 30mm as it generates a fl close to my 14mm 82°m but with a new 18mm 82*or 20mm 100*, haven't decided.

I think that particular barlow can function as a 1.5x by unscrewing the barlow element and attaching it directly to the eyepiece Barry. I found the same when barlowing low power ep's, the eye relief is pushed out and does leave eye placement more sensitive. You will find it will function much better with either the 18 or 20mm Explore Scientific eyepieces as the eye relief is modest to begin with.
