Leebert
I picked up a QHY5 yesterday for guiding but couldn't wait for a clear night so I thought I'd try it in the PST. Taken on a HEQ5 mount. Stacked in Registax with a slight tweak of level and a bit of colour. Quite pleased for a first go Sun 9th August 2012 by MrLeebert, on Flickr

Black Knight
That's pretty presentable! Did you have to do anything special to mount the QHY5 on the PST?
Leebert
It's a standard mono QHY5 (not the v or t). I screwed the nosepiece of a 2x Skywatcher barlow onto the end of the camera and popped it onto the PST. The HEQ5 was roughly pointed North and set to Solar tracking. I processed the 120 second video in Registax and added a touch of colour.

Leebert
Thank you. I was quite surprised how well it came out through the little PST. I'll be doing some more experimenting with different barlow lenses and capture settings etc.
