50mm Wide Fields

Experiments with a Nikon 50mm f1.4 lens, first two shots of the Milky Way from a dark sky site.

Region centered on Altair in Aquila. 180s single sub at ISO800 Fuji IS Pro camera.

Vulpecula & Sagita 180s single sub at ISO800 Fuji IS Pro camera- notice the little 'Coathanger' asterism lower middle, great to see in binoculars.

Now a semi-urban image of Cygnus, same lens, exposure and IR camera but using a 2" H-alpha filter over the lens then removing it for the last 30 seconds to capture some 'white' star light (and a little bit of Light Pollution).

Finally-back to the dark skies again, another image of Cygnus, same lens, exposure and IR camera but using a 2" H-alpha filter over the lens then removing it for the last 30 seconds. I must have moved the camera while taking of the filter as there is a slight image shift.

Nice work! Perhaps back off a little on the green (Hue adjustment) but really good images!
