Score...?! TAL?

Well long story short, I came across this ad on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.u...OSI:MOTORS:1123

Not really knowing anything about the eyepiece, I put a small 2 pound bid on it, due to what looked like an all metal construction something not usually found with budget/kit eyepieces. Well I ended up wining the item for 1pound +4 shipping.

After a bit of research (entering random text into google) i lucked upon pictures of the 25mm version of the TAL Type II plossl.

After reading a very informative thread on this forum (http://stargazerslou...ossl-eyepieces/), I think I may have purchased quite a decent plossl (TAL 10mm Type II) for peanuts, also seems to be quite "rare".

Of course this is just a hunch for now, but the construction seems to be quite unique. Anyone else have any other ideas? Anyone try the 10mm?

Either way, I will be sure to post a small review when it EP arrives. For the money I am sure it will be a home run. Hopefully it is not a Type I (if a 10mm plossl version exists)....if it is, then well it will feel the full force of a lathe. Needless to say I am quite happy, as up to now everything TAL I have tried has been optically quite nice and of great build quality.
