Hi All, cannot get communication for update, between heq5pro handset and laptop via rj11 -232-usb cable,any ideas? have also changed baud rate on handset to lo,

The first place to check is the device manager to confirm that the serial/usb adapter is correctly installed.

Hi Peter,thanks for replying,yep have checked and usb is installed on comm port 13,it seems to be last part of cable make-up handset to 232 connector,have checked with an avo meter and have continuity on joins but,i keep getting message trying to connect to synscan handset ,then cannot connect to handset,a real puzzler for me,not sure what to try next.
