Some more info

I used Baader solar film in a home made holder for the sun.

For focusing I used the histogram - when the valley is at its deepest and narrowest the focus seemed to be best.

I'm particularly pleased at the granulation details in the image attached here which is a stack of only 81 frames compared with approx 1700 in those used for the mosaic - less is more for some reason !
