Astro Things To Do In Dorset

I hope you're not suggesting Swanage is boring, I used to live there!

I don't know if you are taking any gear with you, but the sky down there can be pretty good, even if you only take bins. Take a walk to end of the headland by Old Harry Rocks, it is pretty dark out there, maybe some light from Bournemouth and Swanage itself, but nothing to disasterous.

Also the pubs in Swanage are lively if it's cloudy :)

The "Globe" is well worth a visit. It's a nice walk up to it too. From the harbour in Swanage head up the grassy bank to the west and follow the signs for Durlston Head. I'm sure the Globe itself is signed on the footpath. The Globe is. Huge concrete model of the earth with loads of Astro related facts carved into it and it's surroundings. It's been there years.
