Imaging The Moon With A Dmk 41Au02.as Mono

Hi

Well using the kit in my signature I want to try some Lunar Imaging with my new Camera the DMK 41AU02.AS Mono using IC Capture AS 2.2

Any tips appreciated, I have imaged with my Web cam with reasonable success, I guess Im going to see a difference ?, oh thought I may try Saturn as well.

You can use a red visual filter (or Baader IR pass, Astronomik ProPlanet 742) at around f/10 and do lunar imaging, combine frames into one mosaic. For Saturn you can also use the red visual filter. It's quite bright for cameras while it limits bad seeing and atmospheric dispersion. The drawback is that DMK41 isn't very IR sensitive (so high resolution imaging won't be easy).
