Synscan slewing problem...

My synscan mount has developed a problem!

It was working fine for a couple of months (very occasional use) but now whenever I'm slewing side to side the movement is very slow (rate 9 the fastest slewing speed).

Up and down movements are fine which makes me think this isn't a connection issue. In fact after continued use the side to side motion does seem to speed up so I don't know what is going on!!

Anyone else experienced a similar frustration???

Sorry Joe, I'm unfamiliar with your particular mount so I can't advise you on that one. You might want to post a copy of your question over on the 'Equipment' section under the subheading 'Discussions - mounts' to see if this will receive a better response.

If this is the Alt/Az mount then it could be that the clutch needs adjusting, does the mount slew by hand at all?
