I've read some good things about Spyders for monitor calibration. There are other brands out there but I don't know how they compare.....

I have the spyder elite 3 for my photography, all my monitors are callibrated so the pictures look the same no matter what pc I'm using, it also means my prints look the same too. They are very easy to use and remind you to recalibrate every so often.

I have used an Eye-One meter for several years and am very happy with it. You can read a comparison between the Spyder and Eye-One meters here (scroll right down to Appendix A at the bottom).

really make all the difference, if you like to print what you see.
