Tripod/mount for a C90 Mak

Would anyone have any advice on what is the best way forward with a tripod/mount for the above scope.

It needs to be stable simple and cheap (ish) I am looking to spend around £100 all in really.

I have been looking at a Skywatcher AZ3 as well as heavy duty camera tripods but am not to sure which style of head would be best as theose have mainly ball heads and 3 way ones.

Any help would be much appreciated.

The AZ-3 would be fine for that scope. I've had a 5" schmidt-cassegrain on one and that worked very well. Short tubed scopes and the AZ-3 go together well

i have my mak 90 on the horizon 8115, nice and stable, good dimensions too

I forgot about the Horizon, may be worth a look in MC2 tomorrow on my way home as they stock them.

Has anyone heard if, or seen the Red Snapper tripods & heads?

Would a heavy duty ball head be suitable for astronomical use?

i dont have any experience with the snapper but i am told this head is a good investment and will fit standard tripods
