Handicam question.

Hi all,

Has anyone tried to piggyback a Handicam, or similar video camera, to take videos (obviously!) which can then be converted to avi and registacked, etc, as per a webcam?

I've tried a search here, but can only find one referrence back in 2007...

The cam has an optical zoom of 40x and a digital of 2000x.

Any ideas would be welcome, or have I missed something?

I would be very surprised if the camera has sufficient low light capability to be any good.

Ignore any of the digitial zoom functions stay within the optical range of the camera. You will be able to magnify more effectively in software after capturing anything.
