How do you keep your computer powered throughout the night?

You need to search for the correct adapter for your own laptop. In my own case "HP G56 car power supply" got me close. I use one from Amazon - you just have to root around a bit. If you look at the label on the mains power supply that came with the lappy it will have the output voltage and current (in Amps) and power (in Watts) - you need to match these. (You really want a power supply not a charger - its just that searching for the charger may get you there quicker).

Many thanks for that Roger. I couldn't find one for my HP Pavilion dm1, but I've emailed them to see if they have a suitable adaptor.
