Will 3x barlow work with f/13 4" scope for imaging?

Hi all

I've got a Nexstar 4SE 4" f/13 mak scope and will be imaging using a SPC900NC. I've currently got a Revelation 2x barlow, which is ok, but am considering a 3x Tal barlow. The question is will a 3x barlow work ok in a 4" scope or is it likely to lead to dark images (remember this is all about imaging so I will have control over the SPC900NC via Sharpcap).

Any advice welcome!
