The Sun 13 May 2012 white light

Had a bit of a disaster this morning and fried my Canon 1100D by forgetting to put the Solar filter on the scope - 10 seconds of 100% sun = No good at all - Feeling a bit of an idiot at the moment!!

Anyway here are today's spotty bits taken with the SPC900 and the Solar filter ON the scope!!

Nice. 1476, is huge isnt it!

Just had a quick look with the binos and could clearly make it out (obviously with a solar filter infront!).

Can just about make it out at 500mm as well, now debating whether to get the scope out or not (aching after this mornings ride....)

At least it was only a ccd and not your eyes, and great images once again.
