DIY solar filter housing

I have purchased some solar film and had a go at making filter that can attach to the small aperture on the front of my scope.

That looks Ok to me from the photo's. Make sure that the big end cap cannot falloff the scope! (they may be quite a loose fit on some scopes!) and that you either cover or remove your finder scope if you have one. Check the new filter for pinholes using the Sun (no need to look directly at the Sun - just let the light through onto a piece of paper, if there are any pinholes you'll see 'em!)

Thanks for the tips. The big end cap clips into place so no need to worry about it falling off
