Could I have seen Pluto?

Everything i asked to see tonight was spot on with the goto, i asked it to take me to Pluto, however I could see something very distant, but I could not swear it was it, i was using a 15mm then went down to a 3mm, could I possibly have seen it with that set up on a skywatcher 200?

I suppose on a good night it should be possible, although at magnitude 14 it would be on the limit for an 8" scope.

it will probably be visible in your scope in good seeing, but you'll be lucky if you even know you're looking at Pluto! It will just look like a star, so you have to carefully track its position over days or weeks to work out which the "wondering star" is.

I have seen pluto with my 250mm dob, It kinda reminded me of one of the faint moons around Saturn.

I would say you could see it in a 200mm on good seeing.

I've seen Pluto in my C8. Andrew is right-"tracking" it over a few nights is the only way to be sure.
