Been waiting two weeks for a gap in the clouds so that I can try out my new Hyperion III zoom with the solar scope, there's actually a patch of blue sky today but no sooner had I started walking outside with my tripod then rain begins to fall! It's actually sunny AND raining!!

Ah yes, good UK weather, don't you just love it?

The sun is at an angle to you, sort of South South West, the rain cloud is vertically above you - more or less.

Think about it, thats how a rainbow works, sunlight coming through rain drops.

Don't tell me you wanted (expected) sun shine with no rain ?
