Vixen Sphinx and SynScan

Has anyone used a Vixen Sphinx with the SW SynScan?

There is a upgrade module call NexSXD that will allowed the use of Celestron's hand controller with Sphinx. However, I think Sphinx uses servo motors (same for Celestron) so SW Synscan cannot be used to drive the Sphinx as SW mounts uses stepper motors. The control algorithms for both motors are different.
