Dont know if you already know this but here goes:

JTW Astronomy - Products: Ultimate cooled DSLR Series

A very interesting alternative to more expensive cameras, one thing that caught my attention was that they even can do a mod on the chip, by taking off the Bayer matrix they can turn a regulat camera into a mono chip to work with filters, RGB or even Halfa/OIII/SII filters...cool!

Hmm I can't help but think of the mono CCD that you probably could pick up for the same as the DSLR and the mod..
