SynTrek problem

The SynTrek handset on my SW 250 Dob has stopped sideraling, When you press the Slow 2 & Fast 3 buttons together it should start tracking shown by a pulsing light. I do not get a pulsing light. Any ideas ?

The SKywatcher Syntrack Manual - from their support pages - doesn't say that you have to press the 2 buttons together.

It says that the RA drive simply tracks automatically which is what I would have expected.

The manuals says if you press Guide (1) then Slow (2) then it toggles Siderial tracking On/Off. The combination Slow(2) and Fast(3) is not mentioned. Also the description in the manual is Press Guide(1) then (Slow2), not pressed together.

Maybe you have switched Siderial tracking off accidentally and are useing the wrong buttons to get it back on. It's the sort of thing I do.

Hi Capricorn, thanks, you have nailed it. I find USA instructions on telescopes obvious when not needed and miss leading when important
